180 Million Euro For New Mall In Bulgarias Capital

A new commercial and business centre worth nearly 180 million euro will be constructed in Sofia.

Austrian investment company Sparkassen Immobilien AG and German construction and investment company ECE Projektmanagement would provide the money for the construction, 24 Chassa daily reported.

The mall, called Serdika Centre, will feature 200 shops having total area of 50 000 sq m, nearly 35 sq m of offices and 1800 parking lots. The shops will be located on three levels.

Several big garment and sports goods shops and a number of boutiques will be opened in Serdika Centre. They will offer world famous brands not present in Bulgaria yet.

Serdika Centre will also have a supermarket and an electrical appliances shop.

Local and international culinary chains will have their representation in the snack-bars area.

The mall project would create more than 2000 work places and would be opened in 2009, 24 Chasa said.
