The village is 26 km far from the famous ski resort of Pamporovo. It is located in Rodopi Mountain which is well known for its exquisite beauty and charm. The total length of the ski tracks in the region is around 35 km, and the length of the rope-lines is 12 km. is the biggest ski center in Bulgaria - the length of the ski tracks there is 25 km., there are 5 lifts and 10 ski trails. The resort provides perfect conditions for winter and summer vacations in a delightful mountain atmosphere, magnificent forests and great many opportunities for entertainment. Another ski center which is smaller than Pamporovo is the city of Chepelare. It is situated at 10 km north of Pamporovo. In the region there are lots of resort villages - these are Momchilovtzi, Stoikite, Gela, Progled and the architectural reservation Shiroka Laka. The tourists can spend their summer holidays there, too, as the mountain is very beautiful in the summer.
