Belgian Investors Gather On Business Forum In Plovdiv

More than 16 Belgian firms, which have invested over 60 million BGN (30 million EUR) in Plovidv and the region, were invited on a common meeting, initiated by Belgian ambassador for Bulgaria Philippe Beke and Plovdiv mayor Slavcho Atanasov.

The companies present the interest of different branches as brewery, construction, textile industry, high technology products, service, trade with freeze foods, machine construction and others.

Accent during the meeting was put over the conditions of business development in Plovdiv and the region. The investors give high estimate to Plovdiv potential with a view to its location and the population for attracting more investments.

The deepening lack of skilled personnel and the inflexible labour market were pointed out among the serious problems in front of the city.

According to the participating in the forum the lightening of administrative regimes and the improving of infrastructure in Plovdiv and the region will contribute to the fast economical development.
