Bourgas is the first city that will receive funding for the project for integrated urban transport. The project is over 131 million leva, of which 109.5 million is grant provided under the Operational Programme "Regional Development".

Bourgas is the first municipality with a system that integrates data on cadastre and planning.

Bourgas is the best city to live in Bulgaria for 2010 The city was chosen from 27 who participated in this year's ranking of Darik Radio, the newspaper "24 Hours" and information site DarikNews.bg. Cities participating in the rankings were evaluated on 25 indicators.
