Dolna Banya is a lovely small town located 75 km from Sofia and Plovdiv only 18 far from the ski resorts of Borovetz and 30 km from the beautiful town of Samokov. Dolna Banya is known as a resort town, famous for its hot mineral waters with temperatures of 56.3 C. The town is easily accessible by car. Also there is a regular transport passing by the neighbouring town of Kostenetz that is also known as a resort with mineral springs.
Stunning nature, mineral water and spas are some of the best quality in the whole area and they explain the popularity of Dolna Banya. Another advantage of the region is the Ibar 18 hole golf course being built just outside of Dolna Banya. The course will meet the standards of the Professional Golfers' Association of America and The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. It is expected to bring further popularity of the region.
