So you can use the big racing tracks of Borovetz and then enjoy the calmness of the village. Regular transport is available to the resort. Just outside the village there is also a 3km long ski run with ski lift.

Development of the area

The mega project in the area called “Super Borovetz Project. It's a government approved plan, setting exact planning guidelines for the development of the Borovetz area. Investment, both Public and private, is planned at 300 to 400 million Euros over the next 10 years. The project isn't just confined to Samokov, Beli Iskar and Borovets; it will benefit a much wider area. Other villages which will benefit include: Govedartzi- The road connecting it to Samokov will be completely improved. Extra activities and facilities for tourists will be added and existing ones will be improved to cater for the larger amounts of people visiting the area. Belchinski Bani- This spa village will be developed to cater for large amounts of tourists. The Belchinski Bani spa is already famous for its top quality spa facilities and mineral water so as a result, the planners of the project have seen its potential and want it involved. Lake Iskar- Current water sports facilities are to be improved. In the villages around Borovets, cultural tourism is to be improved. Conference centers are also planned to be built. The 'Super Borovets' project has started on the 8th of October 2007.

Govedartzi itself will also have money invested in its ski facilities in the form of the ‘Iskorovete’ project. Private investors will work with the local Samokov council to construct more ski runs and another ski lift to meet the demand of increasing amounts of holiday makers in the area. This project is due to start in 2009. The Iskrovete Project will incorporate the following regions: Govedartzi , Madjare , Mala Tsvarkva , Malyovitsa and Samokov town.

Govedartsi which is just down the road from this budding resort will have very good connections to Malyovitsa resort, which will make it a hit with ski fans. Govedartsi and Malyovitsa resort feature most prominently in plans, with the intention being to expand the existing ski facilities in Govedartsi with the addition of new runs and lifts.
