Summer tourism season in Bulgaria mountain resort of Bansko started with the folklore festival 'Between Three Mountains', informed the mayor of the city Aleksander Kravarov. He highlighted that the event coincides with the holiday of Bulgarian education and Slavic literacy - May 24. The opening of the season enters in the atmosphere of the holidays of Bansko's traditions, organized every year by the municipality, Karvarov added. King Sturge, the international real estate advisory, is surveying opportunities for entering the Bulgarian market, company officials told investor.bg. Preparations are still at a very early stage, with set plans and a detailed strategy yet to be clarified, company representatives said, adding that they had not decided whether to step directly onto the market or to penetrate through a local partner. Spanish Company To Build Tourism Complex Near Sofia 14/03/2008
Spanish company Ferry Group plans to construct a sports and tourism complex near Sofia. The company purchased 881 000 sq m state-owned land in the village of Kutina, Darik Radio reported. Ferry Group paid six million leva for the land. Sofia regional governor Todor Modev said that the project fulfillment would bring another 300 million leva of investment and would create 2 000 work places. The complex will include a golf course, sports complex with pools and tennis courts, bungalows and commercial zone. Ferry group owner Manuel Ferry Sanchez said that the complex construction would probably begin in March 2007. 70 million EUR will be the cost of the biggest office center in Bulgaria - the European Trade Center. The construction works are presently planned to be finished in January 2010. The large project has mobilized big part of the sector's capacity. By the project's data round 60% of the constructing and engineering resource of Sofia is occupied with the center's realizing. 14 cranes are presently working on the building site.
