Building Green Is Costly But Is The Future Building Green Cee 24/04/2008
With some exceptions, design, construction and operation of energy efficient buildings is a costly undertaking. Yet it will drive market transformation and become the norm in the future. This was the message of the second panel of the Build Green CEE conference in Bucharest. Cost parameters aside, energy sustainable buildings have many underlying tangible and intangible benefits that are slowly winning investors and changing perceptions of the green concept. Commercial Property Deals Top 878m Euro In 2007 Cb Richard Ellis 11/04/2008
The value of major deals struck on the Bulgarian commercial property segment rose 35 per cent on the year to 878 million euro, a report released by CB Richard Ellis on April 9 showed. The international property consultancy said that the figure was only an approximation because of the lack of transparency on the market. Despite the uptick, the figure remains two to three times smaller than in other Central and East European countries. According to CB Richard Ellis, in the next three years Bulgaria will successfully catch up with CEE peers as international investors enter the country. Last year, Bulgaria witnessed 40 large deals, 15 of which referred to office buildings and 10 to commercial buildings. Greenfuel To Decide On Bulgarian Biofuel Plant In Two Months 14/03/2008
Spanish GreenFuel Corporation would decide within two months whether to build a bio-fuel plant in the region of Pleven, northern Bulgaria, expert.bg reported on March 12. The decision will be discussed at the company's shareholders meeting in May 2008, Greenfuel's technical director Antonio Jose Huertas Moreno said, as quoted by expert.bg. Moreno and Pleven regional governor Tsvetko Tsvetkov arranged a working meeting to discuss the future investment's parameters and the production process itself. The Spanish company might apply for first class investment certificate, which means it will invest at least 70 million leva and would allow it to acquire plots for the plant's construction without attending a tender procedure. 78% Of Foreign Tourists Would Recommend Bulgarian Resorts 24/04/2008
The State Agency of Tourism (SAT) inquiry shows that despite the remarks to Bulgaria, 78% of the foreign tourists would recommend our winter resorts. 23,4% more foreign tourists have visited the winter resorts in Bulgaria for the period January-February this year compared to the same period of 2007. That was announced by SAT chairman Anelia Krushkova. The foreign tourists advise the winter resorts to be more quiet and tranquil, to improve the hygiene, the personnel to improve its English language speaking and to become more affable. The tourists also recommend the food, ski facilities and traces to be improved. 19% more incomes in January and February reported SAT as the common amount of incomes of the foreign tourism is 97,8 million EUR. more
