Petar Doudolenski, executive manager of Mall Rousse project signed on March 25 the contracts with key tenants in the shopping centre, including international cinema operator Cinema City, Piccadilly supermarkets, household appliances retailer Technomarket, Happy restaurant chain, fashion brands Esprit and Oviesse, shoe-seller Leonardo and bookstore chain Ciela. “I believe that Mall Rousse will be among the preferred venues for shopping and entertainment both to Rousse residents and to regular tourists from our neighbour Romania,” Rousse mayor Bozhidar Yotov said during the formal ceremony held in Sofia. State Agency For Tourism Initiates An Advertising Campaign Of Bulgarian Tourism In Russia 14/03/2008
Bulgaria's State Agency for Tourism will promote the country as a tourist destination to Russians. It has launched an advertising campaign, including 30-minute videos, to be broadcast on the Rossiya Channel and on Channel One in the Russian cities of Yekaterininburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Samara, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Kransnodar, Perm, Rostov-na-Don, Omsk - between February 18 and February 29. A second advertising campaign will take place in the same cities between May 5 and May 25. Three shorter videos will also be shown on the NTV and TVC channels in the Moscow region, St.Petersburg, Yekaterininburg, Novosibirsk, Samara and Rostov-na-Don. Standstill In Local Tourism Expected 14/05/2008
The number of foreign tourists, who arrived in Bulgaria in 2007 is more than 4 million people, which is growth of 7% compared to the previous year. The incomes from tourism in 2007 are round 11% more compared to 2006, says an analysis of Bulgaria's Center for Economy Development. This way the incomes from visitations reached the sum of 2,3 billion EUR. For 2008 the money are expected to be 3 billion EUR incomes from foreign visits. The tourists are mostly from Romania, Greece, Germany, UK, Sweden and Finland. Despite the increase of the number of tourists from abroad, the tendency of standstill started to rise in local tourism. Summer tourism season in Bulgaria mountain resort of Bansko started with the folklore festival 'Between Three Mountains', informed the mayor of the city Aleksander Kravarov. He highlighted that the event coincides with the holiday of Bulgarian education and Slavic literacy - May 24.
