Industrial mortars' manufacturer Maxit Bulgaria will open its plant in Radinovo industrial area near Plovdiv, the company’s business development manager Pavel Pavlov said, quoted by Dnevnik daily. The new plant embraces a 1.5ha plot and its annual output capacity is estimated at 150 000 tons. Construction of the enterprise finished at the end of last year. The plant opened for business with clients as of mid-February after the successful end of its trial period that ran from the turn of January and during which only trial orders were manufactured. Currently, the factory has 12 employees but this number is expected to increase to 30 by the end of the year. Though a zoning plan was accepted last year, it will be updated soon to give potential investors a clearer picture. “Though some parties are beginning to say that the residential market is beginning to get saturated, I believe it is still quite open,” Dikov said. 14.2% Annual Inflation In Bulgaria 15/04/2008
Bulgaria's annual inflation is up to 14.2% in March compared to 13.2% the previous month. The reason was provoked mainly from high food prices, says statistical data announced on Monday. The consumer prices increased to 0.8% m/m in March from 1.1% in February. IMF sees inflation dropping to 7% by the end of the year, hoping that grain crops will increase from last year's drought-hit levels, avoiding renewed food price hikes, commented from Reuters. The inflation by the end of last year was 12.5%, one of the highest rates in the EU. more
