Seaside Pomorie Accepts 2,000 Tourists 07/05/2008
More than 2,000 tourists will visit Pomorie (Southern Seaside town) for the celebration of St. George Day. The celebration will start on May 6 in 'St. George' monastery. The whole city will celebrate on the square and the two orthodox churches in the town will fete the holiday with holy liturgy. First tourists arrived yet on May 1. more

Lewis Charles Sofia Property Fund, an investment company focused on the Bulgarian residential property market, has a pipeline of eight residential schemes in Sofia with a combined price tag of more than 45 million euro, the company said in a statement. The fund's property portfolio has a total build area of 567 590 sq m and currently has a valuation of 83 852 536 euro. In the Bulgarian capital, the fund is developing gated communities in the Vitosha, Simeonovo and Krastova Vada boroughs. The first project was completed in 2007 while the other five are expected to be completed during 2009. One of these projects is still at the foundation stage. Uklisted Bulgarian Land Developments 2007 Pretax Loss Slides By 81 Per Cent To 243 000 Euro 14/03/2008
London-listed Bulgarian Land Development (BLD) managed to shed its pre-tax loss by 81.8 per cent to 243 000 euro in 2007 due to increased income, it said on March 6, as reported by SeeNews. The loss per share was 1.23 cent in 2007, compared to the 5.57 cent in 2006, BLD said in a statement to Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange, where it is listed, SeeNews said. "The increase is gratifying and shows we are moving in the right direction," BLD's chief executive, Christo Iliev, said in the statement. BLD was admitted to the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange in March 2006. BLD focuses on property in the holiday areas of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast and ski resorts, and in the capital Sofia. more

Uk Fund Invests In Holiday Village Near Bulgarias Bansko 13/03/2008
UK investment fund Lewis Charles Sofia Property Fund will provide finance for the construction of a holiday village near the village of Banya, not far from the Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko. The fund already signed a contract with Bulgarian Winslow Developments to regulate and develop the project, Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) reported. The project in Banya envisages holiday village including tennis courts, pools, spa centres, a restaurant and bars. The deal will generate earnings of nearly 113 million euro, Winslow Developments said. The company operates on the real estate market and so far implemented several projects in Bansko.
