No land crisis in Bulgaria

Despite the severe crisis for most of the businesses and households, the number of transactions of agricultural land in Bulgaria and the cost of that asset, continues to grow in the recent years.

The reference shows that for the period 2002-2012 in Bulgaria were concluded about 1 million transactions, as subject to sales and purchases are less than 10 million acres of farmland.

This year there is an increase in the interest in agricultural fields for the regions of Haskovo, Stara Zagora, Rousse, Veliko Tarnovo, Vidin and Montana.

The increase in land prices reflected in the growth of quotations of exchange-traded funds, it is possible without possessing land, to take advantage of its movements.

Since the beginning of the year, while being in liquidation the equity of ELARG Land Fund have gone up by the impressive 144%.

The price of the bonds of another investment trust buying agricultural land in Bulgaria - Agro Finance REIT, increased nearly by 80%.
