New Hospital In Bourgas To Be Built For 35m Euro

Bourgas city hall has called a public procurement tender for the construction of a modern hospital in the Meden Rudnik borough, Stroitelstvo Gradut weekly reported.This is the most-populated borough of the city with close to 80 000 residents, and, according to the weekly, there is only one clinic, which currently occupies a flat in a communal block, to service their healthcare needs.The initial idea envisions a multi-profiled healthcare facility with a 200-bed capacity and an additional medical centre equipped with an NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) spectroscopy, a modern-day scanner, an agiograph (a device for measuring eye pressure) and a fertility office. The total investment is estimated at 35 million euro, as the built-up land plot will be provided by the municipality.There has been great interest displayed by potential investors, because Bourgas is considered to be a city of strategic economic importance, representatives of the local administration have said, as quoted by Stroitelstvo Gradut.Some of the investors applying to develop the project have promised a completion period of 24 months. So far, various multi-media presentations have been offered to deputy mayors, municipal councillors and prominent local medical doctors to review and consider, the weekly said.
