Mall Varna Opens Doors On June 12

Mall Varna, the second mall in the Black Sea city of Varna, will open its doors to customers on June 12 with a four-day grand opening programme, the shopping centre said in a media statement on its website on May 21.

It will allow 100 people, picked through a lottery on its website, a sneak preview two days earlier.

The new mall will sport 100 stores, some belonging to brands that chose the location to open their first outlet in the country, according to the statement. It also has a Piccadilly supermarket, an Arena cinema with 1300 seats, 10 bowling lanes, a children entertainment centre and an indoor skating rink.

Mall Varna has a total built-up area of 70 000 sq m, including 33 000 sq m of shopping areas, and 760 parking places. It was built at the intersection of the Vladislav Varnenchik and Hristo Smirnenski boulevards, two of Varna's biggest traffic thoroughfares.

Built by Interservice Uzunovi, it was sold to Scottish company Miller Developments for 120 million euro last year. British firm Chapman Taylor designed the mall, with Cushman&Wakefield and their local partners Forton handling property management and leasing services.
