Germanys Ece Projektmanagement To Develop Third Bulgarian Mall In Varna

Germany's ECE Projektmanagement, one of Europe's leading firms in developing and managing shopping centres, has launched its third project in Bulgaria, the Cherno More Park mall in Varna, to be located in close proximity to Hemus Highway in the western part of the city, Dnevnik daily reported.

The 150 million euro development will spread on a 50 000 sq m plot on the site of the former Vamo diesel engine plant, ECE Projektmanagement’s managing director Plamen Ilchev said, as quoted by Dnevnik. Completion is due by the end of 2010.

The two-storey building will house 220 shops, restaurants and cafes. The gross leasable area of the retail complex is estimated at 54 000 sq m. The centre will feature a 2 300-car parking, as well.

Apparel makers will dominate the tenant mix, but retail space will also be leased to electronics, sporting gear and food retailers. Several multinational retailers have already shown interest in the project, Ilchev said.

ECE Projektmanagement is already developing two shopping mall schemes, both of them in capital Sofia - Serdika Center and Europe Center Sofia.
