Bulgaria With The Biggest It Growth On The Balkans

According to the latest study of the leading company for market research IDC a major influence on the extent of development of the information technology markets on the Balkan peninsular was the difference of the moment, the government of the specific country implemented deregulation.IDC forecast an average increase of 20.5% of the Bulgarian market of information technologies in the period 2007-2012.On this indicator Bulgaria is first among the countries in the region, as Romania follows closely with 18.9%, while for Poland an increase of 10.6% is expected and the average for Central and Eastern Europe is 15%.According to Nelly Vacheva, manager of IDC Bulgaria, money from the accession funds of EU will generate nearly 10% of the increase of the IT market in Bulgaria in 2009.She deems that the funds from the suspended programmes will not have a big influence, because they are in sectors with small share in the IT market.The fast growth of the economies of the region leads to a serious increase of the IT market. Despite that a certain slowing down is observed in Turkey and Greece with respect to advanced stage of the development of the sector there.
