Up to 3000 euro is the price for a new vineyard in Veliko Tarnovo

From 1000 to 3000 euro vary the price per dekar of a new vineyard in the region of Veliko Tarnovo. Between 200 and 350 levs is the price for the same area of old vineyard with 240 to 300 vines. This was announces by the mayor of the municipality of Suhindol - Plamen Chernev.

He explained that in comparison with the same period last year the prices indicate a decrease.

There is no significant interest in buying vineyards at the moment, explained Plamen Chernev. According to him this is observed since the beginning of the economical crisis. According to him in order to make 1000 square meters of vineyard at the moment will cost around 3000 - 4000 levs.

The price of the vineyards vary depending on the construction of the vineyard, the sort of the grape and when it was created.

The big difference in the price per decare of the new and the old vineyard is caused of the significantly higher fruitfulness of the new vineyards and the higher number of vines in it. The production of the new vineyard is about 2000 kilograms per decare, compared with the 600 - 800 kilograms per dekar for the old vineyards.
