Two-Bedroom Apartments Most Sought After in Plovdiv

Two-bedroom apartments in downtown Plovdiv and in the prestigious residential district Karshiyaka were the most sought after residential properties in the city in 2008, the annual analysis of Europolis shows.Despite the stagnation, as of the middle of the summer, caused by the financial and mortgage crisis, nearly all segments of the market in Bulgaria grew by between 15 and 20% year on year, according to Europolis brokers. The prices of the properties offered for sale have not declined. The only difference is the smaller number of deals in office space.Deals in commercial space were sealed at the highest prices in Plovdiv this year. The average price of shops amounted to 1,508 euros per sq. m. Luxurious residential properties followed with an average price of 1,326 euros per sq. m. and office space - 1,106 euros per sq. m.The average price of one bedroom apartments in Plovdiv stood at 957 euros per sq. m, while two-bedroom apartments sold for 983 euros per sq. m. The average price of three-bedroom apartments came to 1,023 euros per sq. m.The average rent rates in Plovdiv went up by 10% in 2008, compared to 2007. Residential properties are most sought, followed by shops and office space. The most attractive properties are furnished luxurious two-bedroom apartments, which are let for 350-400 euros per month.
