Carrefour gets in Mall Pleven

The investor in Mall Pleven, company Aladin, signed a contract for rent with Carrefour for operating the supermarket in the trade center.

Carrefour will spread on 2 400 square meters on the ground floor of the mall. The biggest European market chain - Carrefour chose to create its first shop with format supermarket for Bulgaria in Pleven.

Mall Pleven is being built in the center of the city, on the place of the ex tobacco factory. The investment in the project is for 80 000 million levs, for which it was distinguished by the Bulgarian agency for investments with a certificate for investor first class.

The total built up area of the mall with the three underground levels is more than 47 000 square meters. The spaces for rent are more than 17 500 square meters. There are going to be more than 100 shops. There will be restaurants, multiplex and variety of places for entertainment. Mall Pleven will be the only trade center of this kind in the city, it is going to offer to its visitors more than 400 parking places.

The building process is going as per the accepted plan for performance, it is expected that the rough construction to be during the Fall of this year and the final building works will be completed by the first half of 2010. At the moment more than 160 builders are working on the ground level.

On the background of the world financial crisis and its reflection in Bulgaria, the company which is consulting the project is renting the shops in the mall exclusively Colliers International, indicates not only the planned occupancy but also bigger interest to the project, which as the only one of its kind in the region is about to be the main shopping center for the region of Pleven and the city itself.
