The British property buyers with renewed interest in the Bulgarian villages

The interest of the British property buyers in rural houses in Bulgaria is picking up again. During the summer of 2011 Bulgaria is in the top 10 of the most attractive countries for buying properties. The average prices of the rural properties in Bulgaria went down with 45% for the last 1 year.

According to a survey Bulgaria is on 7th position for interest for buying real estate among the British investors. Behind Bulgaria are Turkey, Cyprus and Barbados. The property buyers have to be very careful because the properties are not always as they expect.

The real estate brokers in Bulgaria acknowledge that due to the fall in the prices of the rural properties in Bulgaria, the British buyers are quite interested in buying cheap rural houses and land. The renovated or newly built houses though are holding their value.

In the village of Ekzarh Yosif near Rousse, are hoping to have more new English neighbours. One of the British families which is living permanently in the village for a few years now even have their own bar with which they make their living.

For now the experts are supporting the opinion that the increased interest in properties in Bulgaria is caused by the major decrease in the prices. A new boom on the property market is not expected.
