2.5 Million Euro Invested In Port Svishtov

New equipments and storehouses for preservation of containers and processing of loose cargoes enter into operation from today at the international harbor of Svishtov, informed the leadership of the port cited by BNR.The construction of a new railway line, which to service the eastern zone of the port continues.Over 2.5 million euro have been invested for the port's development and modernization till today.The containers' terminal of Svishtov harbor is the nearest point for supply of cargos from the Danube to Sofia, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora and the regions in Central Northern Bulgaria.This makes the container service the cheapest for most of the Bulgarian territory.Cargo companies from Macedonia and Kosovo, who suffer from the supplies through the Greek harbor Thessaloniki have claimed interest in transit processing of containers through port Svishtov, informs the leadership of the Bulgarian harbor.
