The village is part of Kyustendil District and Bobov dol Municipality. It is located in South-Western Bulgaria in between the towns Kyustendil and Dupnitsa. It is just 20 km away from Kyustendil which is one of the most famous Bulgarian spa resorts. The climate is traditionally continental with Mediterranean influence. The mineral waters of the numerous fountains (natural springs and wells) have an almost uniform chemical composition.
