A microclimate in the area permits for a heavy snow cover that is preserved throughout a normally very long season from early December to mid April.
The skiing facilities in Pamporovo are state of the art and cater to all levels of skiers on groomed runs totaling 31 kilometers down-hill and 40 kilometers cross country at an altitude between 1926 and 1450 m above the sea level.
