We present to your attention this large plot of regulated land located near the town of Kostenetz. The land is in close proximity to the Golf Club "IBAR" - one of the biggest golf fields in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian capital Sofia is only 65 km away and the second biggest city Plovdiv is at a distance of 85 km. The distance to the famous ski resort of Borovetz is only 16 km. There are mineral spring in the area (47 degrees C) and an airport for private airplanes. There is a railroad near Kostenetz and the Trakia highway is only 10 km away. The total size of the plot is 55556 sq m. 43000 sq m of which are in regulation, the other 12556 sq m is agricultural land. The plot is suitable for building vacation village with SPA center. There is a project included in the price for building both a spa complex and eco-chalets on the first plot. While the second plot can be used for construction of an electrical transformer, solar collectors, wind generators, thermo-pumps and local purifying installation. The price is 16 euro per sq. m.
Location: The Kostenets municipality is situated in Southwestern Bulgaria and is a part of the District of Sofia. It borders the municipalities of Lesichovo, Septemvri, Dolna Banya, Belovo, Yakorouda and Ihtiman.
History: The region was populated as early as the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. It was inhabited by the Thracian tribe Besses during the first millennium BC. At the end of c.1 and the beginning of c.2 AD, the territory of the present-day Kostenets municipality was part of the Serdica Province of the Roman Empire. The settling into the present-day municipal centre Kostenets started in 1884 with the building of the Belovo - Vakarel railway as a part of the Sofia - Istanbul route. The new settlements' expansion hastened with the building of a factory for safety matches in 1901 and of a paper mill in 1907. In 1964, three settlements - Kostenets Banya, Momin Prohod and Momina Banya - were merged into the town of Kostenets.
Recreation and Tourism: The favourable climatic factors; the unique combination of the thermomineral water resources with the immediate proximity to the resort Borovets and the country's capital; the natural and historical sights provide a potential for all-the-year-round tourism, recreation and sport in the Kostenets municipality. The resorts Momin Prohod, Vili Costenets and Pchelinski Bani are situated on the municipality's territory.
