The average annual temperature is above 10оC. The autumn is warm and long, summer is cool and the winter is cold. The town is an administrative centre.
Varshets offers excellent tourist infrastructure. There are 2 spa centres, polyclinic with specialized diagnosis and physiotherapy departments, plenty of guest houses, hotels, eco paths and etc. There are also plenty of private lodgings.
In the region of Varshets there are many interesting landmarks and places for recreation. The plot is located very close to the place called the Waterfall - about 3 km away.
For the fans of the mountain tourism the peak Todorini kukli would be very interesting– one of the highest peaks in Stara planina.
12 km southwest of Varshets is situated the Klisurski monastery.
About 30 km southeast of the town is the Natural park Vrachanski Balkan. Again 30 km to the east lies the town of Vratza in which area are situated the cave of Ledenika, the reserve of Zmeiuvi dupki, the Vrachantski karst, and numerous chalets.
The town of Berkovitsa is located 15 km northwest- this is where you can go skiing. Just 15 km more from the town of Berkovitsa is the peak Kom, where there are ski slopes, huts and etc.
