Within the holiday resort is the Yane Sandanski Chalet offering 70 beds. The eleven-metre high Popina Luka Waterfall is located at the Bashliitsa River (one of the initial tributaries of Sandanska Bistritsa River) running through the Popina Luka Resort. The resort is a point of departure for several marked tourist routes in Pirin. It is also an ideal place for picnick with your family and friends.

Rupite - a small mountainous protected area 10-12 kilometers northeast of Petrich, on the right bank of the Struma River. It is best known as the place where the Bulgarian prophet Baba Vanga lived and was buried. The area is in fact the crater of an extinct volcano, its appearance being shaped by the volcanic hill of Kozhuh, the thermal springs and Pchelina Hill.Back in 1992 the prophet Baba Vanga built a temple-monument. It turned to a sacred place for thousand of believers. Next to the temple there is a hot spring that is said to cure all kind of diseases.

South from here are the remains of the ancient town Petra dating back from IV B.C.
