The citizens of Varna gathered 10 000 signatures against constructions in the Sea Garden

Ten Thousand citizens of Varna signed against the decision of the municipal government, with which the local parliament allows construction in part of the Sea Garden.

The petition was given this morning to the governor Dancho Stoimenov, from whom the citizens of the sea capital are seeking cooperation for stopping the construction in the park.

If construction is allowed in the sea garden this will result in early elections and tension - explained the people from Varna at the meeting with Simeonov.

He did not answer anything concrete, as he is not aware of all the details about the decision of the local government.

On Monday the mayor Kiril Yordanov was certain that he will oppose personally this decision and will stand against the construction of restaurants, hotels and private homes in the Sea Garden, even though the government is restricting them with low building parameters.

The mayor put the blame for the decision totally on the National expert comity which is part of the Ministry of the regional development and Public works, which already approved the construction in case the low parameters.
