The Bulgarian ski resort Bansko reported over 300% growth of Turkish tourists

Bansko municipality reported a 300% rise in tourists from Turkey in the past two years.

This said the mayor of Bansko, Georgi Ikonomov after analysis of the participation in the international exhibition in Istanbul.

"We left it a little late to the Turkish market, but for two years the difference is palpable. As the percentage is impressive – over 300% increase. With targeted advertising to Turkey, I think that in the next five years we will perhaps be the main winter resort for tourist from Turkey ", said Ikonomov.

In his words, the Turkish tourists prefer Bansko, because of its closeness, good pricing policy and quality of service.

He believes that as quickly as possible we need to solve the problem with the visas.
This matter should find extremely fast solution if we want to attract Turkish tourists, explains the mayor of Bansko.

Georgi Ikonomov stressed that there are lead serious talks with Turkish investors for building a modern health centre. Declared is interest to building a high-tech enterprise for the production of foods for dogs and cats.
