Boom of Romanian tourists on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast for Easter

Boom of Romanian tourists along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast for Easter, report hoteliers.

Although up to the holiday remain nearly two months, the northern neighbors already book vacations at home.

Easter gives the unofficial start to the season on the sea. Romanians prefer Balchik. Hotels are nearly full there for the holidays. The prices are from last year, even there are some discounts.

Three days package is at cost from 260 BGN up to 400 BGN per person. Along with the holiday, the biggest attraction for tourists from Romania remains the “Palace” - built in 1924 by the Romanian Queen Maria.

"And because of that, perhaps, the nostalgia of the Romanians, and not just because of this - Balchik is a wonderful place, a very beautiful bay and maybe this is their desire to visit the Palace," believes the Director of the complex Jeni Mihaylova.

And further north in Kavarnensko, the hotels reopened for Easter and expect a growth of tourists.

"Romanians and Bulgarians, make reservations at the last minute. Plan a relatively short term. Approximately 60% are already booked. So we expect almost entirely to be filled for Easter", said Pavlina Dobreva, the manager of a complex near Kavarna.
