61 decares in Boyana for training base for the football national team

The government approved the establishment of a free right for building on a real estate - public government property in Boyana quarter, Vitoshko lale 16 str. A new training base for the national football team will be constructed there, announced for journalists in the ministry council the sport minister Svilen Neikov. The construction ground is with are of 61 000 sq.m.

The construction will be in 3 stages, the funds will be acquired consequently from UEFA and FIFA. The base will have an administrative part and will be used trough out the whole year, because it will have covered hall, which will be suitable for other sports as well, announced Borislav Mihaylov, chairman of the Bulgarian football union.

The construction of the base will continue about two and half years and will cost 12 million levs. The funds provided by the Bulgarian Football union will be 10% of this amount, said Mihaylov.

By the end of the year where will be the new national football stadium. It will hold 50 000 people and must have the necessary infrastructure, training base and 6000 parking places.

Sport facilities in Sofia will be privatized with the gathered funds will sought a contractor for new sort sites according to the wishes of the owners of the clubs.
