Ski slopes in Bansko are ready to open before the official start of the season

If weather conditions allow the ski slopes in Bansko can open before the official season start, which will take place on December 13, Ivan Obreykov – marketing director of Bansko ski zone announced.

During the summer the ski facilities in the resort underwent repairs and important parts of the cabin lift have been replaced. The snow cannon system covering the area between Banderishka polyana ski slope and Bansko is ready for work if the temperatures go below zero. The ski pass prices remain the same – the day ski pass will cost BGN 58.

The events and races that are to be held in Bansko this winter have already been announced. Ulen Cup, a race from the official FIS calendar will take place on December 22 and 23. Already a traditional and successful host of World Cup events, Bansko will welcome the best skiers on the planet for the fourth time, the resort’s press centre announced. This time the ladies will compete in Super G and Super Combined. On March 4 and 5 the biggest event for Bulgarian alpine skiers – the National Alpine Ski Races, will be held in Bansko.
