Scandinavian Media Group Enters Bulgarian Market With Real Estate Portal

The second largest Scandinavian media group, Alma Media, entered the Bulgarian market with the real estate on-line portal City24.bg. The website includes international destinations such as Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Russia and Croatia.

City24.bg aims to become the largest portal for property offers, statistics, news and analysis. Before launching in Bulgaria it already had 24 000 properties on offer. City24.bg partners real estate agencies such as Address, RE/MAX, Yavlena, ERA Bulgaria, ARCO and a number of regional agencies, as well as individuals. In addition to Bulgarian property offers, users can search the property markets of the other nine European countries.

"Interest from Bulgarians towards properties in these countries is almost non-existent," said Renata Bauziene, Alma Media's Black Sea Regional Director. "But interest from outsiders in properties here is very strong. We know Bulgarians are currently interested in the Greek property market but we also hope some affluent Bulgarians can afford to buy in some of the Baltic states or Scandinavian countries," Bauziene said.
