Agriculture and roads are leading the crisis to the end

Agriculture and tourism will pull our economy forward during the coming year-said the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Simeon Djankov.

According to him, tourism has registered the biggest growth this year compared to all sectors of the domestic economy, agriculture ranks second.

"Tourism has the highest growth rate of 10-12% annually. Agriculture sector has somewhere between 9 and 11 % growth so far. Exactly how much is the growth can be announced at the beginning of December because agriculture is cyclical, harvest now was collected and is currently been sold, "said Simeon Djankov. Third fastest growing sector in the country is the infrastructure, said Deputy Prime Minister. This sector has achieved growth within 5-5.5% over the same period last year.

Compared with the infrastructure, where the government poured a lot of resources, the construction of office and residential buildings still remains at the bottom among the native sectors. According to the Finance Minister the revival of the construction of buildings will take several more years. "We will get to the pre-crisis levels maybe after 5-6 years because there are many buildings, which are not finished or are finished but not sold. Djankov said.
