Construction In Bulgarias Coastal Resorts Banned During Summer Season 12/03/2008
Bulgarian government will impose a construction ban in all Black Sea coastal resorts during the summer season. The draft law for Bulgarian Black Sea coastal development was approved on second reading on April 19. The ban will include all resorts and vacation villages and will be valid in the period from May 15 to October 1. Urgent repair works in the resorts will be the only exceptions allowed. Construction of new vacation villages and the expansion of existing ones will be allowed if these have construction density of 30 per cent, construction intensity of 1.2 per cent and the average height of the building is up to 10m. Requirements for villa areas are for a 40 per cent construction density and intensity of up to 0.8 per cent with construction height up to seven m. more

Because of the ceaseless increasing of petrol and fuel prices, the tourists' vacations packages are expected to become 15 to 20% more expensive during the present summer season, mainly because of the airplane tickets. That was announced by the Bulgarian Touroperators and Tourist Agencies Association's president Irina Naidenova. According to Naidenova, the changes will happen in two directions - one of increasing of the tourist package price in common, and the other - revising of the single components of the elements of these packages. This will harm mainly the hotelier services, as the direction will be compressing of the hotel's prices, says Naidenova. Greeks To Buy 'carrefour' Project In Bulgaria 18/03/2008
Greek fund for investments in real estate Assos Capital bought the project of trade center ‘Carrefour Tsarigradsko' for about 200 million EUR, money.bg announced. The French chain sells the land and the constructing complex, but will stay in the project as tenant with their own hypermarket. The deal is one of the biggest with property for Bulgarian market. The French company intends to invest in other big projects in Bulgaria. The investment interest of ‘Carrefour' will be directed towards the projects round Central Railway Station about an investment in trade park. more
