Ehotels Unites Six Hotels In A New Chain 10/03/2008
Ehotels, a new Bulgarian chain managed by Ambassador Tour company, presented its hotel portfolio on February 19 2008. The hotels and Ambassador Tours are both owned by Bourgas-based construction holding PONS. The chain now operates four hotels -- Snezhanka in Pamporovo resort, Perla in Slunchev Bryag (Sunny Beach), Diva in Chiflik village and Rodopski dom (Rhodopi home) in Chepelare. Another two will be associated soon: Knyaz Pavel in Pavel Banya in autumn 2008 and the newly-built Andromeda in Sunny Beach, expected join Ehotels in the summer. Foreigners To Be Able To Buy And Inherit Property In Bulgaria 12/03/2008
The Cabinet decided on November 2 that foreigners in Bulgaria will be able to buy and inherit property in the country. On November 2 the Cabinet approved changes to ownership laws, Focus news agency reported. The decision makes Bulgaria's Constitution and the ownership regulations listed there compatible with European norms on the free movement of capital. Foreigners would be able to acquire Bulgarian agriculture and forest plots starting January 1 2007. Changes to the Constitution would result in changes in four other regulations. These focus on protected territories, ownership and use of agriculture plots, forestry regulations and regulations for restoring ownership over agriculture and forest plots. more

Austrian ‘Baumax' opens on Monday, April 14 its first supermarket for construction materials in Bulgaria's city of Plovdiv. Second local outlet will be opened in Stara Zagora next week. Each one of the stores is on the amount of 10 million EUR. The retail area of Plovdiv's outlet is 12,500 sq m which makes it the biggest of its kind in Bulgaria. The supermarket in Plovdiv also will be drive-in. ‘Baumax' assortment will be divided in four sectors - constructions, interior, garden and instruments.
